How do I start fundraising?  

When you have decided on your fundraising activity you can click on the option below and then press 'Sign Up' on the top right corner.

When you have completed your registration form, your Pancreatic Cancer UK fundraising page will be automatically created for you. You can then add photos, your story, set a target and share your page to raise lots of money.  

How can I personalise my fundraising page?

It is a great idea to personalise your fundraising page to share your fundraising journey. You’re also more likely to reach your target if you share you story and updates about your fundraising. You can add a blog, photos, or even livestream your fundraising activity on your page. See below for our quick and easy guides to make it happen.

How can I spread the word about my activity?

It is a great idea to spread the word about your fundraising activity. Share your fundraising page with family, friends and colleagues by sending the link to them on Whatsapp or email. You can also easily share your fundraising page on social media by clicking on the Facebook and Twitter icons on your page. Why not raise awareness at the same time by sharing our symptoms video too. You could even reach out to your local press to tell them your story and why you are raising awareness or funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK. If you need support with this then let us know on fundraise@pancreaticcancer.org.uk and we can put you in contact with our Media Team!

Can I Take it On with family and friends?

Of course! Get your family, friends and colleagues involved in your plans. You can all fundraise through the same page – Taking It On together is a great way to stay connected and can feel less daunting than doing it by yourself! You can register as a team when you set up your fundraising page. 

Can I raise sponsorship money offline? 

Yes- we can provide you with an offline sponsorship form and a collection box if you want to raise funds offline. Please call 020 3535 7090 or email supportercare@pancreaticcancer.org.uk to let us know your plans and request this.  

How can I order materials?

Yes- promotional materials are a fantastic way to decorate your fundraising event and also help raise vital awareness. You can order branded materials through the Online Shop section on your fundraising page and you can find out how to do that on the video link below!

Please note that we are only able to send 1 free T-shirt per fundraiser. If you require more T-shirts than please do call us on 020 3535 7090 or email us on supportercare@pancreaticcancer.org.uk and we can support you with this.

What is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month? 

Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month takes place every November. It brings together people affected by pancreatic cancer, charities and community groups across the world to raise vital awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer.

When is World Pancreatic Cancer Day 2020? 

World Pancreatic Cancer Day is Thursday 19th November 2020. 

How can I get involved in Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month? 

There are many ways to get involved in supporting our work during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. 

You can help to raise awareness by sharing our pancreatic cancer symptoms video, or shine a spotlight on the disease by arranging for a landmark, building or even your home to be lit purple on World Pancreatic Cancer Day.

Alternatively, you can take on a challenge, organise an event or make a donation to raise vital funds to support ground-breaking research into pancreatic cancer.

I raised funds offline- how do I send it to you? 

Thank you so much for fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK. 

Due to the current situation with coronavirus (COVID-19), our team are now working from home and there will be a delay in processing postal donations and banking cheques. If possible, please use the online donation process instead or contact us on 020 3535 7090 option 2

  • Another method would be to pay the money directly into our Barclays account. Contact the team on supportercare@pancreaticcancer.org.uk to request our bank details.  
  • If you cannot pay using the options above, you can send a cheque made payable to ‘Pancreatic Cancer UK’ to:

Please make sure you enclose a note to tell us a bit about your fundraising event and contact information so we can thank you appropriately.

How do I add offline donations to my page?

Please contact us on 020 3535 7090 or email us on supportercare@pancreaticcancer.org.uk and we can do this for you.

I can’t hold a fundraiser during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month- can I just make a donation? 

Yes, of course. Thank you so much for your generosity and for helping us transform the future for everyone affected by pancreatic cancer. You can make a donation online or call 020 3535 7090 to make a donation over the phone. 

You can also fundraise for Pancreatic Cancer UK throughout the year, at a time that is more convenient for you. To chat more about your fundraising ideas, give us a call on 020 3535 7090.

Are there fundraising rules or regulations I need to be aware of?

Do I need a letter of authorisation to collect money and prizes for Pancreatic Cancer UK? 

Yes- a letter of authorisation outlines that you are holding your fundraising event in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK. When hosting a raffle, contacting companies for prizes or letting a venue know you are hosting the event, an authorisation letter is key. Email fundraise@pancreaticcancer.org.uk for more details. 

Can I use your logo at my event?

We have a special 'in aid of' logo that can be sent to you to use on any materials that you would like to create. Please email fundraise@pancreaticcancer.org.uk with details of your event and a member of the team will be able to help. 

Don’t forget we also have a range of branded materials that you can also request using our order form or via the Online Shop section of your fundraising page.  

Coronavirus

Will the coronavirus outbreak affect Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month?  

Right now, we don’t know what the world will look like in November. What we do know is that pancreatic cancer does not stop during a global pandemic- thousands of people up and down the UK will still be facing this cruel disease and will be especially vulnerable at this time. It is with your help, we will continue to be there for them when they most need us. 

It would not be right for us to tell you what decision to make and circumstances will change, but we ask that you carefully consider the Government’s up to date official advice when organising your fundraiser.
